Top 25 Music Videos of 2017! (#20-#16)

In the first group of 2017s most memorable music videos, we were treated to Betty Who busting some moves, Liam Payne playing the role of a concerned stalker, and Katy Perry being literally served up to the highest bidders. Gross. For the next five visuals on the list, brace yourself for a gorgeous aerial view of Scotland landscapes, a vampire blood feast we'd volunteer to join, and a look back at the endless hard work of a talented duo's side project. Are these some of the year's biggest and brightest creations?

#20. "Sign of the Times" by Harry Styles
        251,630,149 views (as of 12/14/17)

In his first official solo outing, former One Direction member Harry Styles scored a top five hit with "Sign of the Times", a rousing rock opera reminiscent to the work of the late David Bowie. For the accompanying music video, Styles also reached new, thrilling heights... literally. Interacting with nature around him, the artist levitates and takes flight as far-reaching shots of the ocean and breath-taking mountain landscape compose most of the nearly six-minute visual. Just like the song itself, the video was an ambitious idea, that paid off in full in the end. Always reach for the stars kids!

#19. "Battle Axe" by Sharon Needles
        482,623 views (as of 12/14/17)

RuPaul's Drag Race season four winner Sharon Needles has always embraced her underground approach to the mainstream pop genre. For lead single "Battle Axe", off her third studio album of the same name, the demonic queen portrays iconic headstrong females from film and television for the accompanying music video. Channeling Miranda Priestly in the workplace, Joan Crawford at home, the camp-tastic video caps off with a special appearance by real-life foe turned friend Phi Phi O'Hara for a Dynasty-inspired smackdown. The Donald Trump shade is simply the cherry on top.

#18. "Take Me" by Aly & AJ
        913,032 views (as of 12/14/17)

The comeback of former Disney starlets Aly & AJ was a long time coming, their fans patiently waited. In 2017, they were rewarded. For "Take Me", lead single off their recent Ten Years extended play, the sister duo shared a dark, sinister and absolutely lovely supporting visual. As the queens of the night stroll the city for their next meal, they stumble upon and eventually bring home three unlucky souls. Basically glamour shots of their bloody feast and the dead stares of their victims, the music video uses its retro feel to play out like normal, reflective home videos... of hungry vampires.

#17. "Future Friends (Brian Robert Jones Choir Remix)" by Superfruit
        89,402 views (as of 12/14/17)

Sort of an appreciated cheat. Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying of Pentatonix spent a majority of 2017 fleshing out their successful side duo project Superfruit. Their debut studio album gave us attention-grabbing, enjoyable visuals such as “Fantasy”, “Worth It (Perfect)”, “Hurry Up!”, “GUY.exe”… all of them actually. Thankfully, to promote a remix of title track “Future Friends”, the boys created an endearing montage of their 14 separate, equally-impressive music videos. Serving as a celebration of accomplishments and friendship, the three-and-a-half minute visual most importantly gives viewers a quick mash-up glimpse of the hard work put into every second of the overall project.

#16. "Power" by Little Mix feat .Stormzy
        132,272,118 views (as of 12/14/17)

The neglect toward Little Mix in 2017 will forever remain a missed opportunity. Case in point: for "Power", the fourth single lifted from Glory Days, the fiercesome foursome take to the streets in the music video to rally for female strength and independence. Showcased in their own apparent, environmental comfort zone, Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Jade command attention and respect in impeccable fashion. The beauty, the clothing, the attitude, all accounted for as the colorful and empowering visual features RuPaul's Drag Race queens Alaska, Courtney and William and leads up to statement-making special appearances by each's loving mother.
