I recently had the 'fortune' to see the new episode of Gossip Girl with Racheal Zoe in it. I have to say, I am getting a bit sick of GG using random fashion cameos to boost ratings.Zoe's cameo was a bit like when Geri Halliwell popped up in SATC. Mortifying. I visibly cringed when someone said, 'Oh now, it's a party Zoe since your here.'
So embarrassing. Why do American shows always do this? Use cameos like that? As soon as an American show becomes successful and we are told by every publication going that we should be watching it because it's just THAT cool. Then you just know that there are going to be several borderline pointless cameos from celeb 'fans'.
But does it have to happen to the shows I watch and like? I have to say there are a few problems with GG this season.
For one thing, I am getting sick of the Dan and Serena triangle. It's old news. Seriously, is this not like the fourth series? Why do we still care?
Dan and Vanessa are completely unbelievable as a couple. Just doesn't sit with me.
Is anyone missing Jenny? However obnoxious she is in real life, she made the show a bit more interesting!
Totally not sick of Blair and Chuck. Glad that the French girl is gone. Really was not feeling her character. It was a bit...dull as a storyline!
But still I watch. Hopefully it will ease up on the cameos for a while.
Anyone else feeling it?
