NOVAK DJOKOVIC REVEALS HE TURNED DOWN 110,000 POUNDS IN 2006 TO FIX A MATCH IN RUSSIA

World number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic has revealed that he turned down 110,000 pounds to throw a match in Russia in 2006.
This is amidst bombshell revelations that the sport is bedevilled with corruption and match fixing.

Djokovic spoke out after secret files came to light exposing evidence that three matches at Wimbledon had been rigged and that Grand slam winners, none of whom have been named were allowed to continue their careers despite speculations that they had compromised their integrity in some matches.

Novak Djokovic however beat Chung Hyeon by 6-3, 6-2 , 6-4 in the first round of Australian Open at Rod Laver Arena on Monday after Serena Williams sent Camila Giorgi packing with a 6-4, 7-5 win in her bid for a seventh Australian title.
