So, this is hella trippy. In all the years that One Direction have had group pics taken, there's one thing we never noticed - until one eagle eyed fan cracked it wide open.If you look closely, in most photos of the group, you'll notice that Louis Tomlinson positions himself slightly in front of the other guys to appear taller.
Louis is totally faking his height with a little visual trickery - and has been getting away with it, too!
A fan on Tumblr shared her theory and it makes sense - Louis stands in such a way that his heels line up with the next guy's toes, so he's standing ever so slightly in front of them.
Now that the trick has been pointed out to us, we can't unsee it. Check out a random bunch of 1D group shots and notice he does it every single time.
And just for you non-believers - check it out: Louis Tomlinson is 5'8", while Harry Styles is 5'11", Liam Payne is 5'10" and Niall Horan is also 5' 8". Former bandmate Zayn Malik is 5'9".
