Once the quest for truth is gone, and lies are promoted to the status of truth, now status actually Trumps truth. 

Status is fake leadership. Real leadership has to be sacrificed on the alter of greed, fake hero worship and obedience to an absolutely corrupt, absolutely powerful leader. 

The problem with absolute power and absolute riches, is that it absolutely corrupts. 

The US has put in place an absolutely powerful, absolutely corrupt leader, who is accountable to no one, and who is above the law, and above truth. That is the definition of a cult and a cult leader.

That being the case, it should be no surprise that since Trump’s poorly-attended inauguration there has been a concerted effort to dismantle, and eventually destroy, America’s education system; from public elementary and secondary school to colleges and universities. It is also not stunning that Trump and the GOP’s propaganda arm Fox News have played a crucial role in convincing Republican voters that education is “bad for America.”

For years conservatives have demeaned “secular” education, and over the past decade Republicans have pandered to the religious right by railing against higher education with valuable aid from the GOP and Trump’s propaganda agency Fox News. It is evident that neither Trump, Republicans, nor Fox News would exist without a fair number of the population mired in rank ignorance about everything, and that does not include the contingent religiously voting for Republicans and contrary to their best interests.

To demonstrate precisely why the people’s freedom, and democracy, are in jeopardy today, a recent poll revealed that nearly 6 out of ten Republicans sincerely believe that “education is bad for America.”

How does a person tell the difference between brainwashing, cult belief systems, propaganda and truth? Sometimes it is really confusing and hard to tell..

Some cults travel door to door during times when women are home alone. They, and this is rather sexist, think that women are easier to recruit and once they have the woman then it will be easier to snare the husband or partner.

Saying that they have to make people pay for it because otherwise they will not appreciate it. This is of course a very silly reason, plenty of people are able to appreciate things which they did not pay for.
They do not allow their teachings or practices to be questioned. If you question, then automatically the group assumes that something is wrong with you. It can never be the case that anything is wrong with the group’s practices or teachings. Often they will try to shut you down by accusing you of having a “bad attitude”.

They will push you to obey (or break your will) by using guilt. They will demand complete “submission” to the group, its leaders and its teachings. They will do this by making you feel absolutely rotten about yourself. They will ridicule you and attack any weakness you might have (or invent weaknesses you might have if they can’t find any). Their goal is to break your will by causing you mental anguish.

AGR: 13 GENERAL AND UNIVERSAL WARNING SIGNS OF A CULT

1. If you are noticing a tendency to feeling more fearful, angry and starting to hate someone else more and more often or more intensely, that is always associated with propaganda, cults or brainwashing of some kind. Purging, purifying and 'perfecting' society by getting rid of 'others' via expulsion, camps, or extermination, because they are deemed to be subhuman or 'lesser' is cultish behavior. 

2. One 'strong leader' uses nationalistic propaganda and brainwashing, which relies on repetition. If you notice the same things being repeated over and over and over again, by one strong leader, or by different people on different mass media stations favoring the 'strong leader', that is associated with 'programming', which can also be called brainwashing or propaganda.

The 1 percent controlled top down 'programming' and repetition is always associated with fear, anger and/or hatred, which is layered on top of blaming, shaming and denigrating or dehumanizing other human beings, via sexism, racism, bigotry, hatred, fear, xenophobia and this often leads to criminal actions, violence, war or genocide.

3. Brainwashing, cult programming and propaganda do not allow you to think for yourself, to disagree, or to form your own opinion via independent investigation outside of the 'approved' channels of programming. You are either with us, or against us. 

4. Cults teach WHAT to think, but not HOW to think. They also do not practice consensus, or compromise. It is winner takes all mentality group think that prevails. Dissent is not allowed.

5. FEAR and HATRED of others is a cultish foundation stone. The more fear there is of 'outside' or 'different' the more brainwashing, cult programming and propaganda there is. Fear of Hell is a way of controlling a person to believe in certain ways. Fear of 'others' is just another way of controlling a person to act, believe and follow a certain course of action, usually controlled by a few people or one person behind the 'curtain'. 

6. Shaming, blaming, pointing out all of the many flaws a person has, guilt and threat of ETERNAL punishment (HELL) are common control mechanisms used by cults. Sometimes physical violence or sexual assault is also part of a cult. Shaming and blaming women plus sexually abusing women is common in cults.  These things are all RED FLAGS of cult behaviours. 

7. Many cults work on separating 'members' from the world and isolating individuals until they are in the 'groupthink', and they do not allow contact with the 'outside' world or with others who may disagree. Programming via mass media, or religion is often used to get people on the same 'page'. 

8. Cults do not teach anyone how to connect with their own intuition and inner sense of knowing, nor do they teach critical thinking skills. Leave your mind at the door and learn WHAT to think, not HOW to think is the mantra of a cult. Cults commonly believe that they are 'chosen' and 'special', and that only they will be 'saved' by some miraculous being, or by the cult leader who possesses special powers. Of course, everyone else on planet Earth is going to Hell forever. 

9. Cults have a 'list' of things/people that are ok to talk about or read, and another (possibly verbal and not written down) list of things/people that are 'taboo', evil, satanic, or pose an existential threat to the group. The 'bad' people and anyone discussing subjects on the 'bad' list must be destroyed or gotten rid of at any cost, and using any means required, legal or illegal. Weapons, threats, enemies, and violence are the subject of a lot of attention. 

10. Certain subjects are ok to talk about, but other subjects are censored and banned. If you keep bringing up things that are 'not allowed' in the cult, you will gradually be pressured to 'conform' or you will be threatened, or you will be expelled if you continue on. 

11. EXTREME Loyalty is the KEY to making a cult work. The mafia, some political groups, religions and criminal groups work using via this method. Exclusion, threats, bribes, favors, extortion, control methods, and 'rewards' for loyalty are keys to making a cult work. 

12. Rather than focus on things that work for the 99 percent, self less service, or on how to build a world that works for everyone, there is often an over riding focus on selfish, narcissistic greed, money, power and getting more of it, especially for the group leader, who often ends up rich, while the members get poorer and poorer, due to transfer of their assets and money to the supreme leader. There is no middle ground, no potential of compromise. Win at any cost is the goal, no matter what it takes.



13. In a cult there is often cherry picking of a holy book, such as the Old Testament, while ignoring large sections of the New Testament. There may also be a focus on absolute moralism, such as believing every word as being absolutely, literally true in a sacred text. What happens if a person tries to create a world where a holy book like the Bible is literally true in every word?

The military is a cult in part, because it uses brainwashing to teach soldiers to hate others and to kill them via gathering into a group and breaking down any resistance or individual thought/belief.

Much of the medical industrial and nuclear complex uses brainwashing and isolation from 'other' ways of thinking and believing in order to get a cult like belief. They teach hormesis theory, which claims that poisons, toxins and radiation are better than everything/everyone else, and that they should only consider profit  and their specific very limited dis-ease symptom treating model ahead of anything else via compartmentalization, fragmentation and separation, which creates a duality consciousness. 

Most political groups are a form of 'cult' because it is all about 'us' against 'them' and anything is considered to be justified, in order to 'win', using techniques such as backstabbing, fake news, assassinations, character assassinations, cheating, lying, stealing, violence, rigging votes, secret back room deals, corporate money avalanches to overwhelm any opposition, fake studies, fake intelligence, hacking, plus other nefarious activities. Winning at any cost is a form of 'cult' thinking.

At least some of the mass media is a form of 'cult'. One person leads at the top, and everyone else has to 'follow orders' or get fired. 

Certain kinds of information or news is taboo, and certain types of information or news is censored, even though it is true and is really needed, because it would irritate or harm the corporate cult, which relies on corporate spin, propaganda and greenwashing to keep people in control and thinking only certain ways.
